My name is Mary Glenn and I have served the students, parents, and staff of Clinton P. Russell for 13 years. Before I became a counselor, I taught 1st and 5th grade in Dallas ISD for 7 years. I received my bachelor’s degree from Prairie View A&M University in Social Work. I decided I wanted to work with children I became a certified teacher through the Alternative Certification Program. Throughout my teaching career It was rewarding helping students with issues that affected their social and emotional health. From these experiences I decided I wanted to be a school counselor. I received my master’s degree in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. During my 13 years of service, I have worked with families in order to help children become more successful students.
