TSI Information for Dual Credit and Early College High School
Dual Credit students must demonstrate readiness or eligibility for college courses. Please visit the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Program webpage for information regarding the assessment and the temporary COVID-19 TSI waiver for all students based on the “exceptional circumstances” provision referenced in the THECB COVID-19 FAQs.
In addition to the TSI requirements and exemptions covered on the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Program webpage, high school students can enroll in dual credit courses by meeting one of the following dual credit eligibility measures:
STAAR English II
Level 2 4000 Combined Score
STAAR Algebra II
Level 2 4000 and Algebra II high school grade of C or better
Students who enroll in courses under a waiver or exception are not considered TSI met; students must pass a TSI-required course with a C or better to be considered met in the appropriate area.
