District Accolades From the August 28, 2014 Board Meeting

Congratulations to TAG and SEM
Both schools are once again ranked as two of the top performing schools in the country. The Daily Beast, a news reporting and online opinion website recently listed Townview’s School for the Talented and Gifted as number 3 and School of Science and Engineering as number 7 in the nation.

Three Outstanding teachers were recognized by the Rotary Club of Dallas
Congratulations to Stacy Owen from Annie Webb Blanton Elementary; Rhonda Graham, formerly of Harold W. Lang Middle School, now with George W. Truett Elementary; and Christopher Green from Adamson High School. These teachers were recognized for their outstanding work and were honored by the Rotary Club of Dallas earlier this month.

Dallas ISD students set record-breaking year for first- and second-day attendance
Congratulations to our students for returning to school in record numbers this year, setting the highest first- and second-day attendance record in years. First day attendance reached 143,552, and the second day attendance reached 151,800. Congratulations to our students and staff.
