Core 4 is the collection of tenets that define the customer service culture that informs all interactions Dallas ISD employees have with students, families, community members and each other.

The culture tenets are anchored in the district’s focus on educational excellence and differentiated educational opportunities, comprehensive accountability, responsible use of resources, and collaboration while reaffirming our commitment to delivering professional, high-quality service to all stakeholders, internal and external.

The Core 4 culture tenets have been used by the district for some time. This new focus and emphasis on those tenets as well as the rubric to help employees better define how well they are applying them to their daily work were developed by a diverse group of district staff that serve on the Recruitment and Retention Committee.

While the district has always expected every employee to provide high-quality customer service, the new rubric provides a measured and consistent across the district. This is a learning opportunity for all employees as we strive to exceed expectations.
