Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Dallas ISD. Volunteer applications for the 2023-2024 school year are available on our volunteer management system, VOLY. Please be sure to apply today! All new and returning volunteers must complete an application, background check and orientation prior to volunteering at our schools. Please read more information below for helpful tips and reminders.

Dallas ISD volunteers are an asset to the success and achievement of our students. Our aim is to engage with volunteers across the district to help us achieve our goal at each of our schools. We need your help, commitment, and heart of giving in order to achieve our goals.

Requirements for Volunteers and Visitors

Volunteers and visitors are welcome to campus only if they have completed the volunteer application and clearance process and are not experiencing illness or any cold & flu-like symptoms. In addition, all volunteers must follow all Dallas ISD safety guidelines and masks are highly recommended. Further, volunteers and visitors must not have had exposure to someone with COVID in the past week.

New Volunteers

Create a Voly account.
Complete an application, background check request, and orientation (e-signature required).
Await volunteer clearance email notification.
Once cleared, sign up for volunteer opportunities!

Returning Volunteers

Log in using your Voly account.
Update application, submit a new background check request, and orientation (e-signature required)
Await volunteer clearance email notification. (This can take up to 72 hours.)
Once cleared, sign up for volunteer opportunities!

Helpful VOLY Tips:

Make sure your birthdate is entered correctly.
Be sure to e-sign your application.
Volunteers must be cleared via background check annually. It can take up to 3 days before a background check is completed. Check your Spam inbox for your clearance email if it’s been longer than 72 hours.
