• Ms. Toole believes every person should feel a sense of belonging, and that each interaction provides an opportunity for individuals to learn and to feel truly seen, heard, and valued as their whole self. Her vision for all students is for them to have the skills, opportunities and access to pursue their passions. As an innovator, communicator, encourager, and instructional leader, Ms. Toole strives to live and lead each moment with joy, extend trust to staff, students, and community, create sustainable change by building capacity in others, and advocate for our kids by choosing courage over comfort every minute of every day.

Ms. Toole is entering her 12th year in Dallas ISD, where she started as a special education inclusion teacher at Long Middle School, then as a math and science instructional coach and an Assistant Principal of the first International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme in Dallas ISD. She was an Assistant Principal at Spruce HS in Pleasant Grove for the next four years, focused on increasing the graduation rate, expanding opportunities for students to earn accreditation and internships in essential fields, and improving the overall campus climate and culture. She spent the following 2 years as a Network Coordinator for Executive Directors, supporting over 30 schools with systems, data, and professional development.  Ms. Toole has never been happier and more fulfilled than she is now as the Principal at E.D. Walker Middle School and the founding Principal of Prestonwood Montessori at E.D. Walker.

Ms. Toole is highly competitive, hates to lose, and can be counted on to turn everything into a game or competition! She enjoys reading, playing beach volleyball, golfing, ping pong, kitesurfing, traveling with her husband Matt, spending time with their two dogs Finn and Cosby, and playing board games on rainy days.

Ms. Toole looks forward to every single day as we create an environment for our students and staff to truly thrive.
