    • It is always important to wash hands with soap and water. When this is not available, use an alcohol based hand sanitizer.

    • When sneezing or coughing without a tissue, do not cover your mouth and nose with your hand, use your shirt collar or wrap your arm around your head and sneeze/cough into your elbow. This will help prevent the spread of germs.

    • How to cough and sneeze Be sure to keep your child home when he/she has a fever of 100° or higher, is vomiting, or has diarrhea. Do not allow your child to return to school until he/she is fever free for 24 hours without a fever reducer (Tylenol/acetaminophen or Motrin/ibuprofen), unless there is a doctor's note saying otherwise.

    • If your child is absent and has an excuse from the doctor, hospital, or dentist, your child has 3 days from his/her return to school to give to the office to receive an "excused absence". After the 3 day period, the system automatically marks it as an "unexcused absence".
