• The Irma P. Hall Festival allows middle school students the opportunity to showcase their talents and abilities in four categories. The categories are  COSTUME DESIGN, IMPROVISATION, MONOLOGUE: COLD READING, and PHYSICAL ACTING. The students must be able to work in teams sharing their creativity and teamwork, while standing out amount their peers. Although this is not an easy competition, it provides the student with invaluable tools and skills that aid toward a career in theater. Billy Earl Dade swept the competition earning more Blue Ribbons than any other middle school under the leadership of Theatre Directors: Ms. Thompson and Ms. Doss.  The Irma P. Hall Festival is named after film and television star Irma P. Hall, who taught for nearly 30 years in Texas schools.
