Dr. Belton earned a bachelor's degree in Corporate Communication from the University of Houston. She began her career as an elementary teacher and gained experience in various leadership positions. She then earned a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University and a doctoral degree in Education Administration from The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. Before becoming an assistant principal, she served as a special education teacher, dyslexia interventionist, fourth and fifth-grade support teacher, and dean of students. Dr. Belton is the founding assistant principal of Personalized Learning Preparatory at Sam Houston because she believes that students would thrive in a one-size-fits-one educational environment. She looks forward to continuing the legacy of creating individuals who are compassionate, intentional, reflective, and empowered as the school's principal.

Two years after graduating college at Trinity University in San Antonio, Mrs. Lattimore decided to move to Dallas to join Teach For America – DFW. This big move allowed her to reflect on what path she wanted to take in life. Upon arrival in Dallas and further training at Rice University in Houston, she was sure she wanted to have a hand in delivering quality education to students.  

After the first year of teaching, Mrs. Lattimore decided to continue because joy, laughter, light-bulb moments, individual student growth, and occasional tears were part of each day. This passion and dedication transformed into 5 years in the classroom and the aspiration to become a campus administrator.  

Mrs. Lattimore has spent the past 6 years at Casa View Elementary, 5 of the years as an Assistant Principal. She spends her free time reading, going to church, and being a loving wife to Will and mommy to 2-year-old Zovi. She is excited to join the PL Prep family and is looking forward to connecting with the community.
