      Projects in Planning & Design

Voters approved the two major Dallas ISD bond propositions: Proposition A, which is $3.2 billion to fund repairs and upgrades to more than 200 of the district’s 230 campuses, and Proposition B, which is $270 million to cover the cost of purchasing and making updates to district technology.

Bond projects go through several phases from design to bid to construction to completion. School and community input is a vital part of the design phase.  Working with the trustee, school leadership team, and members of the community, the design team identifies needs and priorities for each campus.  This valuable input drives the final design for each school.

      Current Projects

Preserving safe and healthy teaching and learning environments for students and staff, and being a good neighbor to local residents and businesses residing near Bond construction is important to Dallas ISD. While we will do our very best to minimize construction impacts, we recognize that construction projects may have temporary impacts on noise, air quality, traffic, and the use of schools and public facilities. Because of this, the project team will actively work to keep communities affected by construction projects updated. We will make efforts to work with residents and businesses to reduce those impacts as much as possible, and to ensure neighbors are aware of impacts that could affect their daily routines.
