• Joseph Pouncy grew up in southeast Dallas (Pleasant Grove), where he attended Edna Rowe Elementary, Alex W. Spence Middle School, and is a proud graduate of Skyline High School (Class of 1996).

    Mr. Pouncy has over 20 years of experience in education. He started his career as a business education teacher and coach at Irving High School in 2002 and instructed a variety of business education courses in various schools, including Irving High School, Richardson High School, and Bryan Adams High School.  After his time in the classroom, he moved to administration as the assistant principal at Forney High School in Forney ISD. 

    Mr. Pouncy has also served as principal at Warren Middle School in Forney ISD, Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning at Regional 10 Educational Service Center, assistant principal at Skyline High School, and Assistant Director of Business Operations for the Dallas ISD Athletic Department.

    Mr. Pouncy comes back home to Skyline High School most recently from The Marvin E. Robinson School of Business and Management at Townview Magnet High School where he served as the principal.

    Mr. Pouncy received his bachelor’s degree in business administration at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and his master’s degree in education leadership from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. He completed his principal certification in 2011.
