Degrees and Certifications:

Audrey Pinkerton

Audrey Pinkerton was elected to her first term on the Dallas ISD Board of Trustees in May 2016 to represent District 7, which includes 31 schools in Oak Cliff, West Dallas, and Cockrell Hill.

Pinkerton attended Dallas ISD schools and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering with honors from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration summa cum laude from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Pinkerton worked as an engineer before moving into executive management roles at several major manufacturing corporations, leading underperforming business units to success. She currently owns a commercial construction firm.

Pinkerton and her husband, Will, live in the East Kessler Park neighborhood. A 2004 graduate of Leadership Dallas, she is active in her community and has served on boards and committees of the PTA, East Kessler Park Neighborhood Association, Kessler Neighbors United, and Tyler Street United Methodist Church. She has been an advocate for Dallas CASA and a member of the Women in Engineering Advisory Committee at the University of Texas. She founded the North Oak Cliff School Fair and helped create the North Oak Cliff United Police Patrol. She has also served as a volunteer for her neighborhood crime watch National Night Out, Texas Exes, Texas Scholars, Project SEEE (Science Enrichment in Elementary Education), and her children’s schools.

Pinkerton believes Dallas ISD has great potential and can become one of the best urban school districts in the nation. As a former Dallas ISD student and parent of two daughters who have attended Dallas ISD schools, Pinkerton has a vested interest in our schools' success
